    Default Video Nurburgring.....

We've got a trip planned to the Nurburgring in June with Vauxhall. (They have organised a 'supported' event to celebrate the Nurburgring Astra)

I wanted to video one of my laps in the Vectra VXR.

Has anyone got a video camera holder for a car ? that I can borrow or hire ?

Or does anyone know where I can buy one from ?

You're not supposed to video from the car, so a fairly 'stealth' set up would be usefull.

    Cheers

It's not specifically modded cars, from reading other stuff, it's that anything that has been added/changed on the car needs to have TuV approval - which a lot of parts sold in Europe do. If they can see that you've made mods to the car then they want to see the TuV certification for it - that's what I've understood from other postings on this.

e.g. on my car I have the Irmscher suspension. This is TuV approved with it's own certificate so I'd need to show that.

Of course, how they will ever know what mods have been done to cars so that they can check on TuV approval is another thing. So many mods aren't obvious or easy to spot.

I think it's more to stop the crazy folk turning up in a home made jet car.

I've got one you can borrow steve, depending on when you are going in June, i bought one from fastfilms last year, Its a vacuum cup type so not that stealthy..

This is the sort of mount i have.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cinemount-Came...sid=p1638.m122

And i bought it from www.fastfilms.co.uk.. I'm sure they will have something stealthy for you to use, they also hire equipment aswell..

theres a video of a guy going round the ring using a vacuum mount here..

That sucks I guess, but understand why they may ban them.

I was just going to suggest do a search on eBay for bullet cameras, they are pretty stealthy...but I dont think it would be worth risking it, getting there and then being banned would suck a whole lot more.

Spoons... some cams here page 46/47/48.... http://cpc.farnell.com/images/en_CC/TechIT_9Feb.pdf

No reason you could not use a lappy and stick the cam behind the bumper ( which is what I am probably going to do ) as others have done before now, also there is no reason not to leave it there an use it again and again.
