    Default Jetwash....

Used to use the Karcher on my cars all the time, but not convinced that it does the finish of the paint any good now - anyone got any thoughts on this??

I never use it on full power and turn it right down for the wheels and bumpers.

Used it on last four cars (inc. the missus cars) and the paintwork has been fine.

I start with low pressure to wash the dirt off then increase the pressure. I don't use it to blast the dirt off as you would if you were washing a patio....

Don't use full pressure on your tyre side wall or a little bulge may appear..

you think your karcher is bad>> I used my works industrial one the other day..... oh MY GOD!! it's so powerful that it actually heats the cold water up to stupidly hot! it got rid of the mould that was lingering on my coupe. it wont ruin paint, well aslong as the paint job is done properly that is. if not it will strip the paint

cheers, been using the old attachmet for standard hose to wet and rinse the car - seems to keep the shine lasting for more washes....
no option on my karcher to turn the pressure up or down - just 2 attachments for the gun....

Right. Mine has a lance which reduces the output. You could always try standing further away.

tbh andrew i never jet wash the car i only give it a pre soak with my flash car wash thingy with megs shampoo in it then i wash it with 2 bucket method imo if you jetwash it you are blasting the dirt into the paint which cant be a good thing oh and i always use cold water now as hot water removes any existing polish protection, ive been using the cold water method for a while now and the finished results are far better, mind you its bl00dy cold on the old hands lol
