    confused Clifford Alarm System

    I am thinking of getting a Clifford Avant Guard 5.5 system fitted to my sri, i am just wondering will they need to take one of my keys and cut it for the intellistart to work?? Please help, if anyone knows where to get it in northern ireland i would greatly appreciate it.

    for the intelistart to work they normally take one of the key fobs and cable tie it to the steering colum

    what a crap way of getting round the immobiliser. I have a clifford alarm, and dont personally rate them.

    They have some cool features, but are more hassle than they're worth IMHO

    I am not familiar enough with the latest alarms to say on this really.
    But a normal conventionally wired alarm cannot really be fitted to a Vec C, and a conventional type intelistart I would say is a non starter, if you'll excuse pun.
    Do they do a canbus alarm or interface yet ?

    as above, they havent got the canbus yet!! this was something I was gonna do but ended up selling! SO intellistart wont work, but they can still put in the standard alarm

    Yeah was talking to clifford and they said it was fine so i thought great stuff although when i spoke to the dealers and fitters not one of themn would go near the car because of canbus wiring ha ha one guy put the phone down when i said 03 vectra ha ha ah well maybe wait as one fitter said untill they make the canbus version as he was in a meeting with them two weeks ago and they said it is in the upcoming developments, but sure the car could be stolen by then ha ha ha ha ha ha ha cheers guys
