    Parcelforce?

    http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/c...diaId=36200675

That's the list of Prohibited Goods - doesn't look like new oil or brake fluid fall under it (unless brake fluid is corrosive? Don't think it is).

I had a quick flick through, I'll let you look through in more depth.

Also, you could talk to your local dealer and see who they use if they ever need to have anything like that couried.

Maybe brake fluid is not corrosive, but have you ever had it poured over your paintwork.
The reason these items are prohibited, is that they very often leak and damage other consignements.

Yep, but I was going by the definitions that Parcelforce gave, and if it isn't corrosive (which I don't think it is technically classed as) then it could mean that it is allowed under their (Parcelforces) T&Cs

I know where you are coming from, but to be honest these type of packages cause no end of bother and most courier companies will do their best to discourage you from sending them through their systems.
If it realy needs to be sent and is a one off don't tell them what is in it and make sure it is well padded and packaged.

I'm sure they will! I can see the reasons too - they don't want fluids etc. leaking all over people and the other consignments.
