Does anyone know if it is possible to change the fnt springs without having a compression tool? I know the rears can be done without it, but can the fronts?
Is it possible to do it just using the trolley jack to take the tension??
Thanks Guys.

no id definately use a tool mate also it cant be done like the rears.
we did without the tool.. as said in pm.. used a trolley jack too..
In a word no,as the strut and spring come out in 1 complete unit, the only way is with spring compressors Larry, anyway their not expensive, can pick up a set for £15-20........![]()
how? pm me dwabo.
^^^
Thats what i'm waiting to hear too??
probv used a jack under the bottom are while undoing the top nut..
strongly discouraged here...use compressors..life is worth more than £15....
^^ yep..as above.. top nuts removed and jack underneath..
Take both strut assembly's off and take them to a local garage with the new springs, won't take them more than 10 minutes to swap the springs over.
