just joined the dizzy heights of the Veccy C having left the Corsa C forum! I've gone and bought myself a 3.0 V6 CDTi Elite and very nice it is too.
I had a few LED type 501 bulbs lying around so decided to put them to use in the Veccy. After trying the sidelights and getting the fault warning I decided to refit normal bulbs and look elsewhere for a use for the LEDs.
I decided to replace the interior lights in the end. Having replaced the 2 front courtesy lights, I was pleased with the result so decided to replace the 2 front map lights and rear reading lights. This is where the problems started.
After changing the rear reading lights with the same 501 LEDs, the interior lighting had a fit. None of the interior lights work when the doors are opened. Some can be turned on with the switch, although are not very bright and some are just dead! There is also a clicking coming from the glove box fuse box (too many boxes LOL!) and the lights flash in time with this if I turn on more than 3 of them!? The clicking stops if I remove the battery overload protection fuse! I have refitted the standard bulbs and the problem persists.
Having had a look through the forums, I found some similar symptoms but nothing exactly like this. I have checked fuses and they all look OK and am now wondering if it's the lighting control box or a CANBUS problem,
Can anyone please help? would love to get to the bottom of this without visiting the local Vauxhall stealer! Thanks guys!
