    Default Whats That Noise????????

    can anyone help ive got an 03 reg vectra c 1.8sxi and im unfamiliar with this engine.i only got it last wed and did an oil and filter change and fuel filter change yesterday.listening to it just as i pulled in from work i left my car running a bit and can hear ,well all i can describe it as an electrical whirr from around the drivers wheel side.I cant seem to see anything that would explain the noise i would say its close to underneath the headlamp but it. whats down there?????? is it ment to make that noise???

    Power steering reservoir sits under the offside headlamp. Not sure if the PAS pump itself is also there though.

    it does sound like a power steering pump now i think about it ,so it could be down there. thanks

    i just been out and moved the steering wheel and it changed tone so think it is the steering pump.
