    Hi CDTI.
Let me know how you get on with the tech 2. if you would, as I have asked several vx dealers in my area, and some say it can be done and would i bring the car in so they can mess with it???.Some say it can,t. There was a tuning firm in the "black country" they said it can not be activated by the tech 2 as the "tc" switch is hard wired in to the ecu. So I don,t know who to belive. It would be nice to get it to work and sort it out once and for all.
    Cheers
    Ed.

The Tech 2 communicates directly with the ECU anyway so it wouldn't matter if it was hardwired into the ECU?! The entire car is on a canbus system which connects all the modules around the car together. ABS/TC/Airbags etc.

As I will be playing with it myself ill list exactly where it is

Cheers any information will be usefull if you do get it to work, as I can then go to my vx dealer and see if he can activate the switch, It seems that some of the vx technicians do not fully know how to use the tools, Nor do they really know what they are talking about.
Pity you live so far away, as if you get it to work on yours then you would know how to get it to work on mine.

I get on with the garage really well so they are happy for me to play with it

Ill make an exact list of how to do it mate so they only charge you as little time as possible. 3 hours away from you unfortunately....

Mind you 3 hours is not too far, if i can get it too work, The trip would be worth it, as the dealers around here do not seem to be up to much.
