    Default kids

admit it we all have hit that boiling point when it comes to kids and shopping,my daughter has got to that point where when you say no she still does it and carries on.
I was in asda last nite about 8pm and she had managed to out do sherlock holmes when it came to finding the most dangerous item that was at kids height in the shelving a set of 3piece kichen sizzors,as i whent to get them off her she threw the biggest scream her lungs could make causing on lookers to watch and see me take these sizzors out of her hands while shes kicking and screaming,
1 women even said to me 'oh its ok let her play with' i looked at her like she was somebody off the jerramy kyle show!! so as i managed to get them off her a store person came up to me and asked if everything was ok but just then my daughter got up and kicked a plastic bin whitch made a huge bang as about 4 came tumbling to the ground at that point i had enough and picked her up and smacked her bum not hard but enough to control her to put her in the trolley.
Well that was it i had 2 angry mum saying what id done was agianst the law and they were going to report i mean if your a parent you do get to the point to try and dissapline your kids. i say your telling me nobody has ever smaacked there own child. i complained to asda manager about the stock being placed at kids height and dangerous goods being only halfed packaged so the bussiness end of the tool is not covered up in any way what so ever.im not alone am i when it comes to such incidents we all have kids dont we i have 2 and im a proud dad and do anything for them but sometimes..............

Don't feel bad. I could have crucified one of mine yesterday. He turns every simple request into a war at the moment. He's nine, and I'm sure he's the person Harry Enfield modelled Kevin on.

Try this one, I have seen it work first hand with a friend of mine. I went dumb and red.

He kicked off in Tesco throwing himself on the floor. She did no more than do exactly the same. After a couple of minutes he stopped and got up, looked at her and said "what are you doing". Answer, well if you can do it so can I. He has never done it again.

It was absolutely classic and funny, you try not laughing whilst this is happening in front of you. I nearly choked!!!!!

Totally sympathise with this, my three year old is a screaming nightmare when shopping. Grabs stuff off shelves and throws it, grabs other people and their trollies....its not lack of dicipline either, its just that kids that age are developing a personality and dont understand the rules of behaviour. Although there are some people that have perfectly behaved kids, I dont know what they do differently but if you could bottle it I would buy it.

As for my 9 year old, if he acts up then I hold his hand around the shop and talk to him like he is 5 again - works a treat!
