Default Thinking of adding an en suite!

Thinking of adding an en suite to my bedroom.
What would be the minimum width I could get away with and how much would I be looking at for the whole job to be done professionally? (i.e stud wall and all fixtures and fittings.)

My bedroom is next to the toilet, so connecting to the soil pipe should not be a problem. We live in a bungalow so everything is on one level. I feel confident enough to build the stud wall myself but think I'll need help with the plumbing work. I know that because of new regulations I'll need to use a registered sparky for the elecs.

stud wall is the easy part mate and the plumbing sounds straight forward too but i think you will need planning permission for the alterations

Would you need planning permission if it's within the existing walls??
I understand that it would need to conform with building regs

perhaps welsh building rgs are differnt from scottish ones mate but if you carry out the alterations and then sell the house you will need a "note of comfort" to satisfy potential buyers that the job has been done properly

get in touch with your local planning office at the council, or have a look on their website(if they have one)
i am pretty sure it needs palnning permission and all the work to be inspected and signed off

In terms of size, a toilet, shower and sink might need about 2m x 2m. I sure most sanitaryware catalogues show potential layouts in them.
