    Default Kids of today.....

So I'm out on the driveway cleaning the car when I spot 3 lads pushing a Corsa from around the corner... obviously broken down...

They strap a piece of rope to its front... and then tie it to the back of another corsa, which had appeared from nowhere.

I watched as they took in the slack on the rope... the lead car pulled away and..... 'snap' the piece of rope broke.

So I thought, these chaps are going to be here all day. So I went into the garage and grabbed my tow-rope (which I've never used ) and handed it over to the lads, who promptly thanked me and drove off.... saying "we'll drop it back to you later today"

So.... did I ever see my tow-rope again ?

My guess is no, but ask yourself another question - will you ever see it again?

tbh what thanks do you get for helping people out? That kind of thing happens to me all the time.........

I'm sure they'll return once they've got the broken Corsa running. They'll bring both back to tow your's away then return the rope as a thanks.

    ... so.....

about an hour later, one of the Corsa's turns up at our house, the lad jumps out and hands over the tow-rope and thanks me for the help.

We had a chat, and it turns out his clutch had gone on the way home very late last night. He dumped the car round the corner and had to walk home (as none of his mates would come and get him at 04:00)

So they were good lads... and faith is returned ... as well as my tow-rope
