    Default MP3 Playing Facility

MLC pointed out a few weeks ago that my CD70 plays MP3's, which I was told means you can make up a disc of about 7 - 9's worth of CDs and play it.

I think I'm missing a trick here and with the long distance driving I do I wanna make sure I know exactly what this thing does.

From from MLC said (I'm playing devils advocate mate nothing more), I would have a CD with 100 tracks on - is that it?

To me that says that I will have a CD with 100 tracks on, but I'll never remember the order they go in etc so I think just changing CD's to suit the mood would be easier....???

I'm sure there is gonna be a post saying "Oh, I see" from me shortly..... help!!!!

i think you can make different folders on one disc so you can keep certain songs in one group.
plus its better having one or two cds in the car instead of about twenty floating around

I use a good programme from acoustica.com. (Actually got it for £4 off e-bay). It's very easy and if you're on the net, it names the albums and songs.

Simply put your cds in the computer and the programme transfers them to the playlist. It will record 700mb of music, which equates to around 6-7 albums. You then just press burn and it transfers all the playlist onto a cd-r.

On the CD70, you can select individual tracks or albums. It's very easy to use and I would definitely recommend t.

got a kenwood 7024 in my vectra b and i have a few cd's with my current favourite albums and i see the title on my wee display and on the player.

i also have a cdrw with all the new music singles about, no1's and current pop songs.

must say i really hope my sri comes with the cd70 and not the older sat nav system...

Yep. If you go into the audio function, on the left of the screen it says track and album. Using the scroll wheel, you can move between albums and then between the tracks on the album.

You've just got to make sure you're connected to the web when you burn the track, it automatically finds the name of the album and the associated tracks.

On the aucoustica website (last time I looked) it gave a free trial of the software. It's definitely the easiest one I found. (I'm a bit dim where PCs are concerned. )
