Well I am slowly getting there with my new car.
The Eibach sports dampers from my old car where transfered over last week with new eibach springs. The new setup is a huge improvement over the orginal SRi setup on the car. I also transfered the strut over as well.
The interior was changed over and now has Loftys leather inside. At the same time I fitted the rear tweeters.
Today the old brakes and disks where replaced,back were replaced with standard pads and disks (VX kit). The front had the callipiers replaced with the 314mm version taken from a donor V6 CDTI along with the 314mm VX disk kit. Got to run it all in for 150 miles before it can get any testing done to really feel the improvement. The front and rear disks/pads were shot anyway so I suppose they are already better!
I would like to say a big thank you to my mate Ron for all the work done as without him it would never have happened or been affordable.
I have taken the VX mud guards and front splitter off my old car and I need to drop these off to my mates to be sprayed. I have also arranged with another member the purchase of a VXR boot spoiler so I think I will take all in together.
Once it gets it mot tomorrow its going to get cleaned up and then I will post pics before the sprayed bits get fitted over the next few weeks.
Now the suspension is done and the brakes I feel the time is right for the remap. So TorquingBHP here I come!
So its been a busy couple of weeks with more to come.
