    Default Broken spring

My 1.9 Cdti has just suffered from a broken front spring which has just been replaced by Nationwide Auto centers,as a warranty claim from Warranty Direct.
The problem is Warranty Direct would only pay to have the broken spring replaced. Meaning i have 1 new spring and one old one one the front of my car. Is this ok and safe?
The car looks level and drives fine.
Ps Nationwide said broken springs is becoming very common on all cars due to the state of our roads and speed humps etc....

having one new and one old spring could affect your tyres as the new spring will hold on to the road alot more than the old one and your car can still uneven

If drives fine and looks level like ya said i wouldn't worry... you could always use it as a reason to get the car lowered a bit.. perfect opportunity!

i would safety and all... explain the problem (which the garage should have known) and tell them its all part of the same job i,e front springs.. and that only half the job has been done and you just want a date when the works getting finished that way you dont give them a choice... try that angle
