airbox mod

Just done the airbox today on my lunch break.
Can really feel a difference on pickup. Anybody else felt a big difference after doing this?

yes i did when i did mine about 6mths ago

also noticed that the grille backing was getting in the way of the air intake so took that off aswell lol and cut a hole in my grille

i done the mod at the weekend felt a little differnce but no loads. but then again i havent changed the filter yet... k&n soon so hopefully see the difference then

Just did it on my 1.9CDTI 150 Auto and it is amazing the difference.

The best difference on mine was not so much power or acceleration but how smooth it went through the gears from 1st to 6th.

I did the Mod and my car started reacting eratically and i strated gettin a rough start up with smoke coming out the rear, so i put it back together, i am gonna try again though soon when i buy a K&N Panel Filter and then take Battery off for 30mins see if that helps

really does make a difference... also, stick the K&N filter in, that makes an even bigger difference!
