Radio goes quieter

Vectra CDTi 150 Auto - When I get in the car switch on the ignition the radio or CD comes on (which ever i was litening to last), quite normal you ask!!

If I now start the engine the volume on the Radio/CD appears quieter until I slightly turn the volume knob which then restores it to normal.

Is this normal?

In the settings of my CD70 there is an adjustment to adjust the start up volume. Not sure if a similar menu is in some of the other stereos or not.

Would it be possible to post a picture up of where I would actually locate this feature?

I'm pretty sure its in the manual, in the settings on the headunit, there is a 'power on volume' option. When you switch off the ignition the stereo returns to whatever you set the 'power on volume' at.
Although I think there is a limit to how loud you can set it to come on.

Sorry to but in on this but is the Volume going up and down a common thing on after market head units aswell, its just i have a pioneer and it seems to adjust the volume itself.
