    nearly all diesel fuel is the same.supermarket fuels and main diesel providers ie total or bp.supermarket fuel is not a cheaper grade fact

    they all conform to EN 590 spec. SO make your own mind up. I use the cheapest fuel.

    I believe that Shell Diesel Extra and other Branded stuff like BP and Texaco have extra additives added to the Diesel in the tanker that gives a bit more ummph

    i work at a oil refinery and see all the petrol tankers come in,and trust me they all take the same product from the same tank.be it total,tescos.ect

    only the ones that advertise extra like esso and bp are different.if its standard deisel or petrol than its all the same

    if they do a standard deisel as well then yes the extra is different
    dont do shell fuel where i work.but if they only do 1 then it will be no different

    I though Shell V-Power Diesel is refined from natural gas not crude oil

    thats true nutron that is y it is more expensive.but is probs the best deisel fuel out for your car at the mo without adding any other additives

    At Stanlow they use a card. The card configures the pumps to open the appropriate valves to add the correct additives for each brand. V Power is produced at Stanlow.
