    Default rear wheel knocking

    just been out in the vec, and have noticed a knocking noice coming from the rear drivers side wheel. Had a tug of said wheel and it moved although it was only a nat's whisker of movement it did move and make the knocking noice.
    Any ideas? please be gentle as the road tax is due

    i would tighten the nuts first if that doesnt solve it try the hub bearing

    No nuts are fine, maybe bearings?

    either loose road wheel ( has been known) or it needs a new top arm as the bushes are worn..

    you need to try rocking it top and bottom and side to side.. each movement has it's own fault meaning..

    Yes I can only rock it from top to bottom and not side to side.

    Default

    top arm will need replacing...around £35 for a replacement part from your local motor factors...takes about 1/2 an hour to change..
