    Smile New look inside

Fitted Map reading lights in the front this morning, quick and easy one for one replacement.

Had the pathetic one button jobs before.

Also got a TC button to see if that would work but no joy, floored it in 2nd at 20mph and kept hitting the button but the orange power steealing light kept flickering all the time till I got to 50mph and had to change gear.

Next up is a spoiler! Seen the one I want, about £120 primed to my door. I can spray it up myself for about £30 max.

It will have to wait until the chrismas hole in my bank balance closes up though.

Are you keeping the TC button for effect? If you want to get rid of it, I might be interested in having a go with it...

I have left it in there, looks less bare. I'm thinking that it might just need programing, as the connectors were pressent for the plug to slot into.

    Should the button light up?

The button lights up with the other dash lights, but when it's pressed in (T/C off) the yellow "skidding car" light in the instrument cluster lights continuously.
Hope that helps - and a Happy New Year to all!!!

The light comes on with all the rest (on the button) but doesn't seem to be doing enything else.

Can you only turn the TC off at certain speeds?

Without going and getting the book out, IIRC, it will stay off up to a speed of 40mph and then it will automatically click back in. So you can never have it switched off totally. HTH

Cheers for that, I had a feeling it was something like that. In that case I don't think it's working other than to light up the button in the dark. I supose that's better than nothing!

I haven't had quite as much troble with wheel spin since I reduced the additional air flow into the filter box and my fuel ecconomy is back up to normal (about 50mpg rather than 33mpg...)

I think what i read was that you could not turn it off when you were travelling at over 40mph but you could under that....

Same difference Below 40mph it becomes switchable, above 40 it's not, that's the easiest way to put it.
