I have 215/50/17 tyres on the car. but i have 2 conti 225/45/17 tyres to go on. Will this effect my insurance in any way & do they go on the front or rear of the car ?

no it shouldn't as long as they are the same speed ratingbut just inform them just in case, we all know what insurance companys are like

Current consensus is to put the best tread on the rear - PS your speedo will read app another 2.5% under too
