    Default Code P304C

    Hi Chaps,
Can anybody let me know what the code P304C means? I am still having trouble with gearbox. Still trying to get VX to pay for repair to or new gearbox due to recall work not being done before I bought my Veccy. Recall work was done but gearbox still letting me down. (2nd & 5th gears only + car and spanner on dash). Have bought myself a code reader so that I can clear codes when car throws up spanner sign. The dreaded P0715 comes up and also the P304C. I know the P0715 but don't know what the other one is.
    Many thanks,
    Dave.

Have a look through here, you might find something I missed. Its a generic code, not one just for GM.

Hiya mate. It is a 53 reg 3,2,V6 Elite. Have booked it in next week for gearbox to be rebuilt due to water getting in. Have had an 8 month fight with VX, garage where I bought car and finance company to get one of them to pay for work. Have given up and decided to pay myself and get monies back through small claims court. Do you mean a rebuild to the gearbox or engine. You have me really worried now!

Could be a coil pack error on the bank with cylinder 4 on it.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Thanx mate. You have put my mind at rest. Was your Veccy Ok after the rebuild? Only had mine a year and it has been more off the road than on. It would be nice to drive it and not get paranoid, looking at the dash every two seconds looking for the car and spanner light to come on. Many thanx.

Yes my Vectra is fine (touch wood). Altough i did half expect it to play up again....Kept looking at the dash for the dreaded warning for a month or so after, but you start to have faith in it again....

ps. I got a 2 year warranty with mine.
