    The oil filter on 2.2 dti? Ive just got new oil and a new filter but dont know where it is. Any help much appriciated!

    take off plastic cover on engine ( 3 torx bolts ) oil filter is under there in what looks like a black canister,think u need a 32mm socket/spanner or use adjustable spanner

    Imagine a petrol engine and where plug 4 would be, right there as said earlier there is a black canister with a 32mm nut head on it, if you done have a 32mm socket use a strap method to dislodge it, as it undoes you will foul a small electrical unit, but with care you can get past it, and remember to use the new rubber seals that come with the filter and don't overtighten it. hth.

    Thats great cheers. I have got a million tools in the gagrage so most likely will have 32mm socket lol

    It's a large jobby, it'll be the width of a can of shaving gel, you can use the old school belt method though as long as it's a cloth belt, or if you are lucky and strong a Marigold and brut force.

    Hiya mugualigwian be prepired to sweat a little with the drain plug which on mine was a t24 torx bolt and its located at the back of the engine looking from the front I had a hard job getting it out . tony

    Yea i know lol, last time i changed the oil i gave it a go and thought no so i took it to the garage. Thought i would actually give it a go this time as will save myself some cash!
