as above.. disconnect the battery and leave the car for 15 mins minimum..

the side airbag is secured at it's bottom edge with one fixing..accessed when the seat is out of the car..

I've took them out before (just not on this tpye of car), like you say they must be discharged, just wanted to know how to get thing thing out as there is a plastic cover on it and I don't want to break anything.

Cheers Mark. Can this not be done while the seat is still bolted in and pushed forward?

Mark, have you taken any out? need to replace the cover as it's scratched, are these part of the airbag or separate?

    Hi mate,

just been out to remove my one. Plastic cover is part of the airbag. Remove the bottom piece as it just prizes of. Then you have to take the seat out again
Then the airbag itself is held in by two nuts at the back. It was the passenger one?

Take the plug out underneath the seat and leave for 5 mins tho.
