    Default BSR stage1 - 2.0 turbo

    Hey all u BSR users!
I'm curious what BSR stage1 does to the mileage....
Since I'm guessing that there are quite a few people in here who use it I'd like to hear what your experiences with it are?

not got one but i think it will depend on how you drive,if you put your foot down will probaly be abit lowerbut normal driving a imagine could be as good or better as you wont need to drop the gears as much but not sure i know duncan has all 3 stages so bet he can get his mpg into singles lol, there will be more people that have that will be able to give you a better answer

If you mean the fuel consumption, nothing TBH it's around the same as standard, but in reality it will reduce the mpg as you'll be horsing it everywhere for the first few months. I've had mine for a few months now and I still love it

It still retains the smoothnes that the engine had, but the increase in torque and the way it holds that across the rev ranges is awesome. Makes the car into what it should've been. When I first put it on the car It was a huge difference to standard it was just awesome, there's not much more I can say LOL

Here's my write-up from when I installed it.

Too fookin right it is. Reputedly knocks a second off 0-60 time, and it is a lot smoother, with a big dollop of extra torque nice and early to help you on your merry way. Best results to be seen booting it in 3rd and 4th.

Well i read about this stage one on here before considering the purchase, I actully bought it before id got the car lol

Picked the car up 23/2/08 drove home, impressed with what i had power wise anyway... straight home and started to fit the K&N panel filter, dump valve kit and the re map the car with the stage 1.

Went out, easy at first... let her warm up a touch, found a nice piece of open straight, floored it and F**K ME! I smiled from the second i put my foot down and i aint stopped smiling since!

In all honesty im getting just less economy wise than i was in my 2.0 ecotec Vec B estate... and im forever booting it lol

If you can get the money together, do it, buy the re map, i promise you wont be dissapointed
