    Vehicle : Ford Mustang

    Trim : GT

    Engine : 5.0 V8

    Year : 2016

Default Let's Be Having Your Thought's On This Idea Of Mine Please...

Over the last few weeks a number of people has asked if my car's engine is a 3.5 Ltr, As per the i35 badges.

So i'm thinking i know some people have re-bored some petrol engined cars and others have lengthened the piston travel to in CC's.

Can this be done to my little V6 Diesel???

Thought's on the idea please and and info would be cool.

    Thanks Mark...

Didn't somebody look into this with the V6 diesel and found that the block was on its limits for machining?

It'can't be done, Izuzu looked into this for a 3.2 version of the engine back in 2003, the 3.0 is at the limit for boring and the block is too short for increased stroke.

    Nice thought though.

Don't do it anyway, not a good idea tbh Mark you'll just ruin a good effort overall, and as said above all the electronics won't like it anyway and you'd end up with something that sounds like its 10degrees out on the timing.
