ICE: how to set TP volume?

I've just bought a 2006 Signum Design with colour sat-nav. When the radio's Traffic Programme (TP) is enabled, TP broadcasts interrupt whatever I'm listening to at a much higher volume level. How can I set the TP volume to be normal, such that it doesn't startle me? (I did find an "announce" volume menu-bar, but when I set that really low, I subsequently discovered I couldn't hear the sat-nav directions, so that didn't affect TP volume).

Could be wrong, but don't you have to hold down the TP button to get the volume TP setting up?

If not, then there is a menu setting somewhere. Maybe by pressing the audio button and selecting extras?

I find the TMC map more useful than traffic announcements.

There are different volume settings in the audio-settings menu: sat nav, TP, speed, line in (phone)...

I was wrong. Press Sound, then settings, then it's the option at the bottom of the list in the LH menu to take you into various volume settings (eg. TA vol, startup vol, Aux in vol, speed dependant vol)

Thanks for the replies.

I had another go through the menus (as advised), and thought I'd reduced the TP volume. But it didn't seem much different. I went back into the menus and found what I think is the TP volume can vary from something like -10 to +10. So I've set it to -8. I didn't hear any TP bulletins during commute to work (and yes, TP was on) so not sure if I've cracked it yet...
