SatNav: How to store current position?

I've just bought a 2006 Signum Design with colour sat-nav. I can't figure out how to save my current location (let's call it position 'X') in the SatNav's memory, so that I can subsequently say "Navigate me back to X"? Any ideas, other than finding out the address of the location and then storing it that way? Thanks. JW.

not sure you can, tried myself but couldn't figure it out.. be handy if you could though..

You can do it. I *think* you have to go into the TMC menu and select something like 'show current position', then you have a choice where you can save it. I'll try and remember to check next time I'm in the car.

There is another way, but it's more long winded than my earlier suggestion.

Go into navigation, select map from the list, then browse, and finally 'select destination point' from the LH menu and then save.

I used the "select map, then browse, then select destination point" method.

I didn't know what TMC was - or even that my car had got it - but after reading the CD70 handbook I think I'm getting the gist of it. And yes, there is a way via TMC to save the current position.
