Default Should I buy a V6 CDTI SRI AUTO?

    Time for a change!

I sold my last Vectra (2.5V6 CDX 96) some time ago and have had a 728 BMW for the last few years, had enough of the fuel consumption now as do around 25K a year, but love the arm chair seats. Looked at all sorts including a passat 130 TDI, but due to having owned 9 Opel Monzas, 1 Omega Evo, 2 Senators, 1 Carlton GSI and 3 Cavaliers (CD and SR). I am back looking at an 04 V6 CDTi AUTO SRI with 62K on the clock. Your thoughts on the auto would be great, as I love em and also, can I make it go faster and if so how much is it gonna cost me?

Must say those twin exhausts are very tempting and I am looking forward to being back in the fold.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

you will get around the 40 mpg and up out of the v6 cdti and bags of go out of it to .

iv been told mapped you will find that getting over the 200 bhp is a easy thing to have on the v6 cdti and tons of torque

Yes, I think it would be a good move on your part, but remember to blag a bit, high road tax and fuel prices, I did see a nice modded one on A/T the other week in Silver Lightning, had 18 Evostars and a gen Irmy kit.

Scrub that I think it's gone and may have been a 3.2 anyway, what sort of money do you want to spend?

Guess around £6500 to £8000. Have a nice signum in mind also (CDTI V6 AUTO) with Irmy kit inc double twin exhausts. its £7500 with 77K. or standard Signum V6 CDTI design auto with 98K for 6500 all on 53.

So Signum or Vectra? Oh and can you mod an auto as easily as a man 6spd?

    Cheers

Mark The Cabbie has remapped his Auto with no problems. Look in this months TV for a few modded manuals on this monthe rolling road. TBH those sound a little expensive too me.....

Ok, its done. Its gonna be a V6 CDTI AUTO Vectra with 60K on the clock. Maybe paid a little much at £7K, buts its got a years tax on it, which is worth a few squid. Cant wait to pick it up next weekend. Any owners or meets local to me in Norfolk or Suffolk, I am in Beccles.
