    Default Photo chromatic wing mirror.

Just bought this but it needs a power source in addition to the heated mirror. Where do i get this from?

I believe you need the correct door module to control it.

as said you need the door module , as a signal is sent from the auto dimming mirror to the door mirror to tell it what to do .

also the correct door mirror too, it comes with an extra 2 wires to connect it.

I think it relies on the chromatic interior mirror to get its signal from (but not confirmed) which then tells the correct Drivers Door Module to tint it which then provides the power to activate it.

So you could find out which 2 wires these are and do a spot of door to roof wiring , but teh 2 wires could be can high and can low ,

no, can high and can low are 2 speeds the canbus network operate on.

They would probably run on the can low or mid network because they are not a priority device which needs continuos updating. The wires arent something you can tap into mate. Its part of the computer network.

I'll order one on monday because I've got the necessary stuff to drive it and see if it runs off the rear view mirror.
