Thumbs down Tip: Dont Be A Good Neighbour

just need to get a rant off my chest, went to work today noticed an fairly new astra down my street had a nice big dint down one said and a very bent wheel, finished work early and on the way home saw it had not been moved, neither had some bits so thought i would knock on the door and tell the car owner.
told the lady about it and she was ok, 10 mins ago what do i get? her bloke knocking on the door pretty much asking if i had done it, i told him theres my car go have a look does it look like i did it, and then he says well was it one of your mates or somthing, we have a part reg and bits off the car so im calling the poilce.
i said go call the poilce and f**k off

Sometimes helping out just gets you in trouble. Can you imagine helping a lost child on a beach and being accused of kidnapping them or something. It really is a difficult decision.... to help or not to help.....

How about this then, someone helped a stranded jetski user who'd run out of petrol back to shore, didn't get a thx or nothing, just this guy's bad mood that this could've happened to him etc.

He was probably panicking that he would have the jetski taken off him if he didn't have a tow rope. Under maritime law (which still stands) any sea craft that is recovered can be taken by the rescuer if they have to use their own rope
When i did my RYA course we were told to always have a tow rope for that reason I had 2 just in case

The way I heard it is he was way to important to speak to the rescue peasants and was probably thinking of a law suit to sue for lack or Panama's and Gin onboard while he was taken back to shore, HMCG was grateful though, not sure if it was because they didn't have to launch or just knew what an ungrateful ass he would be.
