Default Anyone who has fitted a towbar

I have fitted the towbar ok to my Vec hatchback. I have bought the Vauxhall electrics harness, and I understand you have to drill a 40mm hole in the boot for the wires to go through. My question is, do you have to take the bumper off as well? And how much was the 40mm drill bit? thanks

You use a 40mm hole cutter. Screwfix do one, I know this ones 51mm but gives you an idea. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/59990/...t-Holesaw-51mm

Oh, and you need a drill bit to suit the cutter.
