Default Amp, 6x9s But No Sub?

Hi all, im currently running a Vibe CBR 12 active sub (built in amp).

However i want to upgrade and do away with the sub, as i find it to bassy, i just want my music to go louder without distorting.

Could i get an amp and just run 6x9s in the parcel shelf off it or would this be a waste of money?

Could i connect my front speakers to the amp and maybe uprate these too?

    Thanks.

    Gaz

Turn the bass down on your headunit. The factory speakers can go very loud as long as the bass is not turned up high. Then adjust the gain on your sub (up or down) until you are happy with the sound.

Ive got my headunit on -7 bass (as low as it goes.) Not messed with the gain though.

    Cheers.
