Default Car sudden loss of power

Any suggestions, i was just driving down the motor-way and had a sudden loss of power. Unable to accelerate fully but still trundling along. Pulled over into the hard shoulder dropped it down to first tryed to pull off and a cloud of smoke appeared out of the exhaust.

Turned the car off and left a few seconds and restarted with no problems at all, no different than its always been.

    Weird or what!

    Any suggestions?????

Did you get any lights on the dash?

Sounds like limp home mode, you should get it in to VX for a check.

Best of british to you mate, dont bank on the dealers pin pointing the problem properley either, they will moe than likely want to throw VERY expensive parts at it that may or may not be broken.....
