    Default What petrol 2.0t??

Just wondering what fuel you guys use in your 2.0t ?

Going to collect mine Saturday, will be fitting a dump valve, K&N Panel filter and the BSR stage 1 very shortly after lol

So do i run normal unleaded or do i use the higher octane one?

Just the usual juice for me, do too many miles to pay for the high stuff! I do put in a tank of the higher stuff every 5-6 weeks though and every couple of months run a bottle of redex to give it a good clean out too

if you want it to run fast and run clean, run it with V power in it. You will feel a difference with higher octane fuel when you drive a petrol turbo motor

V-power all the time, best fuel for it.

Now waiting to be told I'm wrong and higher octane fuel doesn't do anything

I was told by BSR that using standard unleaded with Stage 1 remap was fine. There is a belief that marginally better fuel economy and slightly better performance can be gained from using Super Unleaded, but I haven't seen any evidence of either. I am happy using Standard. What is absolutely certain is that using standard with Stage 3 is a no-no.

Of perhaps more importance is using the right oil and oil changes at least yearly/10,000 miles whichever comes first.

Just to add I got 223Bhp and John got 222Bhp so no gains on performance, but I just feel it runs a lot smoother.

Damn! Only 1 bhp difference! Should have emptied the boot to reduce drag!

Glad you got the right result this time round, Mark
