quick question, when your insured e.g on a 206 1.4 car fully comp, and your insurance allows you to drive other cars third party, can you drive any car? e.g something like a bmw 330, 3liltre engine with 300bhp?
or are you limited to a 1.4 and below?

Should be allowed to drive anything, just check your policy to see if there are any exclusions.

Your insurance company may provide exclusions, but if not otherwise specified, its ANY vehicle provided that you have the owners permission

Yup, as long as the car in question (the bmw 330 in your example) has an insurance policy in its own right then you can drive it on your policy, but remember if u smash it the owner gets nowt!!!

You are only covered on another car if the other car has its own policy. You are then only covered 3rd party. My mate thought he could do that on his jap import but found out the hard way.

a lot of people do that,.. mislead, insure a cheap motor and drive their hi powered car on the same policy.. and when they smash it up.. they are greatly out of pocket and in trouble with pc plod!
