Apparently its not classed as a recall - its a customer satisfaction thingy so I'd ring your stealer and get it sorted!

I thought the sticker was the 'handbrake modification'!

Hmm, maybe thats why my local dealer called last week for a "courtesy call" but didn't leave a proper message. I did think it was odd given it's not due a service or anything...

    Dear Mr Stevie-B

Thank you for your email dated 28 January 2008 with regards to your Vauxhall Vectra.

I can confirm that Vauxhall Motors is launching a Customer Satisfaction Programme in agreement with the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA). In accordance with the Customer Satisfaction Programme, you will be receiving a letter in due course, requesting you contact your preferred Vauxhall dealership to arrange for a modification to be carried out on your vehicle, at no extra cost.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and for allowing me the opportunity to comment.

    Yours sincerely

    Default stealers reply

Hi all. I have just come off the phone to my local dealer and thay state that Vauxhall have told them [ dealer] that a fix is being worked on and they should have all of the parts for the fix some time in April (he read out the letter to them from Vauxhall) and hope to complete all repairs by October 08 We will have to just wait on the call around April onwards.

    Hope this helps.
