Talking Woo Hoo - New Car

Its been a long day but worth it as I am not the owner of an 07 SRI 1.9CDTI Auto Vec C.

Had to drive to Oldham to pick the car up from Pentagon but that was good as it give me one last 100 mile journey to blast the Zafira VXR and make sure I did not give the stealers any free petrol.

Was sad to see the VXR go BUT NOT FOR ****** LONG - WOW. Are we sure thats only a 1.9 diesel engine under the bonnet.

It flies and the auto box is very good ( I like the fact you can flick it into manual as well). The drive is smooth and quiet and the car handles very well for a diesel on 19" snowflakes.

I know pictures but I only got back home a little while ago and the car needs a proper clean before pics. I will do my best to get some up tomorrow.

    I have already ordered:
    - VXR Colour Coded Grille
    - Lowering Springs (Not sure about this now after seeing how good SRI setup is - DO OTHER PEOPLES CARS SIT A LITTLE LOWER AT BACK AND DOES AFTERMARKET SPRINGS SORT THIS OUT?????)
    - Front Strut Brace
    - and of course a K&N Panel Filter.

Apart from a remap (which I am sorting out very soon) any other mods I should be thinking about?

Thanks for reading - pics up soon.

Glad to see another addition to the Auto owners!!

I have to agree that an auto box in a diesel is great. I find that mine is so much smoother than the petrol!

Just lost my auto and to be honest I am not entirely sure how I feel about it. Hill starts were great and the lazy factor was good too, but I also like to drive and appreciate a manual gear box. I love both really I suppose.

    Anyway, welcome aboard captain

It certainly seems that way, a lot of if not all, vectra's seem to be lower at the back on the standard suspension.
