    how much you wana spend?
you could start by changing the air filter (KnN cone filter) crank case breather, cold air feed and puttin an exhaust on,
as for turbos your looking about 6k for extra 50bhp,
chips/remaps your looking about 300-400quid for about 10bhp,
then could put strut brace and quick shift for handling, but worth putting lower harder supension on, with bigger wheels with good tyres

you'd be better with a k&n pannel filter, saves the problem of trying to shield the heat or you could lose power, not what you want to hear but your never gonna get mega power,a remap would make a little difference if you can remap it otherwise your gonna wast money mate TBH,and maybe a ss exhaust

the bigger the alloys the heavier though mate will slow it down a little,k&n are good but you need a good cold feed and make sure the heat is shield is good,i had a calibra 8v and just by sorting the cold air feed out it felt alot better

big rims might slow it down a lil, but they look much better,
if i was you, do filter, chip it, exhaust, strut brace and suspension for performance and handling,
then id spend some money on making it look good
