    Default I really needed this....

The regulars amongst you will know that my 2.2dti hasn't exactly been a model of reliability in the 2 yrs I've suffered it.
The missus dropped me off at the airport Monday, I ring her Tues to check all's OK etc to be told that "The spanner light has come on and the car won't go very fast".
I ferkin love this car, I really do. I can't afford to get rid for another 10 months, it had over £800 spent on it in Dec now it's gone wrong again.

It may just have an unfortunate accident with some petrol the way I am feeling about the thing at the moment . I really can't wait to get home Fri lunchtime after travelling all Thursday night to try and find out what's wrong this bleedin time.
    Rant over.

sorry to hear this TT, I know exactly how you feel matey.

In my experience if the car runs fine and not touched by a Vx technician it's fine, but as soon as they've started to replace parts more parts become faulty.

I hope you get it sorted matey.

when my cars played up mate i felt like i had enough,i wouldn,t worry while your away mate, then when you get home you need to find someone that can read fault codes alot cheaper than vauxhall, when i was in eley i rang a man and he said bring it down,he checked the actuator and had this fault reader with loads of chips, put the right chip in and in posh word it basicly found the fault, don't even think he was expecting anything but i said how much is this normally and he said 20 pound,so paid him anyway, its hard finding someone that actually wants to help you and not just your money, goodluck mate

Well, just got home and going to pop around and see someone with a code reader.
The car is in limp mode so it could be anything.
Just in case, where is the boost sensor guys?

Down the front of the block, under and slighty to the left of the EGR valve housing. Identifyable by a black plug that'll have two wires coming out, before disappearing into sheathing.

The code had revealed itself. P0700 which means a wiring fault. The car was in just before Xmas for a fair bit of new loom after the old rubbed against the chassis and shorted out.
Moved the wiring around, fault disappeared.
    Hutchins VX here I come.
