    Default Overtime

I've been getting plenty of overtime, and due to a new store system being introduced and having to be trained all next week, i'm working 12 days in a row.

I heard that my Head Office can cut back the amount of hours staff are allowed to work the following month, which i think is a load of sh*te.

    Any opinions??

its some european directive that can control the hours we work.
Last Feb, I did 120 hours o/t and was banned from any further for a month. I mean, its up to me if I want to work all those hours!

My "average" O/T for the week is 28 hrs +37.5 hrs basic hours. Then sat & sun could be another 12+ hrs each Totaling 89.5 hrs !
Sometimes we do 16 hr days depending how far behind the job is or how soon the customer wants it, but that dosn't happen too often thank ****!

Working time directive. Basically max you are allowed to work is 47hrs a week......AVERAGE. Spread out throughout the year etc etc.
If you are employed by an employer then the rules apply....Unless you are Emergency services/military etc etc. Then they can get around the hours thing. I was SO surprised......NOT

Well Sonic, It depends which side they want to play on in Emergency Services - if it suits them then you stay on all day and night, but if it doesnt then there is no money in the pot.... funny that eh!

My contracted hours are something like 38.45

So my payslip displays my contract hours as Basic so the pay is always the same, then the number of hours overtime i worked.
