    Default Ross Kemp in Afghanistan

What a fantastic series that was!

It's highlighted to everyone what a fantastic job our British Forces are doing despite the limitations placed on them by the politically correct brigade and this inadequate government. Its an absolute disgrace that our boys are dieing due to lack of equipment (ammo, tanks, Heavy machine guns). I cant believe the Government are happy to send them off to war and not even equip them properly?!! In one firefight last night they had to fall back and retreat cause they run out of ammo! Their superiors also advise them to take out their own independant life insurance as the pay out from the government would be so bad. How has it stooped to this? These boys are fighting for our country and weve got 15/16 year old kids running round shooting and stabbing each other here. I mean look at the ****ing ***** who killed Gary Newlove, big hardman wasnt he? He got a ridiculously short sentance and will be off scott free soon while the family have to live with Gary's death for the rest of their lives. Stick him out in Afghanistan and see what a man he is then!

Good on Ross Kemp for reporting the truth.

Have to agree AJA, its the best TV i've seen for ages, only downside to it was that the series was way too short at only 5 episodes, i could have watched a lot more... Not many people have the balls to put themselves on the line like little ol Ross...

I think the little furkers that killed Gary Newlove and all little scrotes should be taken out to somewhere like Iraq or Afghanistan, left there with a gun and some rations and made to fight for their lives.. Perhaps they wouldn't be so keen on taking innocent lives just to show off..!!

They'd just surrender Pete as they have no balls!

These scroungers on the streets at night need to be taught a lesson and quickly. They think they can run around doing whatever they please. Set up boot camps in the now un-used Army, Navy and RAF bases to re-educate these little t055ers. I don't mean holiday camps where they have a pool table and warm showers that they can hold hands in. This would be a proper re-abilitation unit and only get released when the 're-educators' think they're worthy. They don't believe in human rights, so remove theirs and throw them in these boot camps with no human rights themselves. They have to think 'there's no way I'm going back in there', so they'll think twice about standing nose to nose with a Police Officer asking them to move on. If the older one's move on when they see a Police Car the little one's will follow and not learn that standing up to the Police is a game.

I used to think that they need to bring national service, but it would mean these little scroats de-valuing our proud 'British Forces' and being a burden on the real servicemen and servicewomen.

I've not seen the whole seris my self but agree with your thoughts.... I'm sure we all know some one who have been out and about in the last 10-15 years and the stories they come back with.... some very bad.

In fact one of the soliders interviewed on Sky News a short time back about Iraq and the support he has had since I know.... and I have the up most respect for what he did.

I did see Ross been interviewd on Sky News the day it started and even from what he was saying its a total disgrace on how they are treated and tool up so to speak.

Yes I'd like to see the little scrotes like above been used as cannon fodder - in fact that would work on so many levels but could they be trusted to even do that - who knows.

What ever happerns some thing like that must be tabled soon.

They'll only be a burden on the real servicemen and servicewomen matey IMO.

Boot Camps! Full blown, re-educating camps! That's the answer as far as I'm concerned.

Have not watched this series but have recorded it as the missus's brother is off out there next month and she wouldn't watch it,sound's like it was very good series from what you've said and as my brother had 3 6 month tours in Iraq, interested to see what conditons were actually like.

The armed force's all do a great job and to have a series like this to show what they have to put up with was a brave move, thumbs up to Ross and his camera crew for agreeing to do it.....

Exactly! There has to be a deterrant to anti social behaviour, so make the boot camps as hard as possible to make them think that they don't ever want to go back. The younger children look upto their 'gang leaders' and watch how they behave towards authority thus doing it themselves. If these so called leaders leg it when they see a Police Car (as they know they'll be back in boot camp the next day) the little one's will follow.

With guards / officers who fight violence with violence. None of this minimum force c**p!
