    Default Rear Bumper

Hi all, when i get my vectra, one of the first things i want to do is get a cat back system with oval twin exit tail pipes.

I am just not sure how they will look positioned below the black plastic on the LS. Has anyone got any pics of an LS with aftermarket exhaust? With bumper cuts or not?

Also Would the SRI bumper or similar fit? I have seen a car on here with a rear diffuser, does this just replace the black plastic on the bumper or is it a replacement bumper?

One last thing - Where abouts is the cat on the vectra 1.8 LS? Is it like the corsa? On the manifold?

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Gaz

    Gaz,
I had the LS style bumper on my 1.8 SXI, got the lower valance cut when I had my powerflow exhaust fitted:

    http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=23595

The SRI bumper will fit, the vxr diffuser goes in place of the original centre trim. You cannot fit the vxr diffuser to the standard LS bumper.

If it is any use, my complete rear bumper is for sale £20, this includes the lower valance that was cut to suit exhaust.

To answer your last question, the cat is fixed to the manifold. They made my exhaust from the cat back, this included the flex section & repositioning the oxy sensor.

thanks very much for your reply. sorry i posted the same topic twice, was a mistake and not sure what im doing yet, lol.

I wil hang on for an sri bumper i think near the time, but thanks anyway.

Is repositioning the oxy sensor a big job? Do you mind me asking how much powerflow charged for the whole job?

    Thanks very much

What they had to do was cut the threaded adapter from the old pipe, then weld in the same position on the new one.
Cost was £360 but that is all the way back from the cat on the bottom of the manifold. Plus the flexy and to re-mount the oxygen sensor
