bonnet keeps opening!!

hi ever since i put some water in the washer bottle and shut the bonnet i have encountered a problem. i went out that night in the car to wake up the next morning to find the bonnet up but only on the latch like when you have just released it!! so i shut it again went out, came back again and it had done it again!! does anybody have any idea what it could be?

Check the release handle in the car has returned to the correct position. that happened to me once and i noticed the handle was sticking.

The location hole that the mating part from the bonnet sounds like it has "stuck" there is a sort of spring that goes diagonaly across the hole and it holds the "spike" from the bonnet in firmly. It sounds like it might need som grease or the likes on it to free it up, worth having a look at it .

i did that today after it happened again but not been out in it since!! if it does it again whats the best thing to do?

check the cable run right back to inside the car and check for any damage you might need a new cable worse case
