    Default Speed Cameras

Can the Gatso Speed Camera get you from an oncoming direction? I always thought not, but recently seen a article that they can get you both ways using mirrors within the camera itself

not sure what type the gatso speed camera is but the ones the catch you from behind only work one way. For example if it is on the right handside of the road and you decide to over take a car within in the camera range on the opposite side of the road it wont catch you and yes i have tried it. For the ones that face towards you they will not catch you if your on the other side of the road. As for the mobile speed cameras i think they are also one way but not tried going past one at high speed yet

not on all of them then cause in my town you could fly past it and nothing because the time its measured you,you would be past it,and when i paid nearly 400 pound for my road angel it would only pick the camera up if you were going the right way,the camera im on about is on the same side as the lane your in but obviously best to be safe mate, this was atleast a year ago

i think the cameras are more dangerous cause say your driving down the road slightly speeding cause in vec c feels slower than it is,when you do notice the cameras you going to slam on i think its instict to now then theres more chance of someone hitting you,i rember on top gear,in some places accidents went up aftercameras were put there and the accident rate over the last ten years have been up and down regardless of cameras, its just money making for me

I am led to belive that they will only pick up the speeding car if they are travelling away from the camera not towards it, also you may have noticed that they paint the " white line ladder" on both sides of the road, again I am led to belive this is subtifuge ( to make you think it will pick you up too). Mind you I am not going to prove what I have heard by trying it out though. "Oh" my tom tom gives a shout no matter which side of the road the camera is on £££
