    Eek Lucky? Maybe.......

Not entirely sure what this car used to be - apparently it even had 4 wheels at one point!

Happened this morning on the A50 just outside Stoke on Trent, the car got hit by a HGV and according to eyewitnesses, was thrown OVER THE HGV before landing back on the ground. Of the 5 *ahem* foreign occupants not one was seriously injured.

    Vehicle : Vectra Estate

    Trim : Design

    Engine : 1.9TDCI [150]

Was once driving on the M25 on my way back home from work, when I passed a truck in lane 1 and a car in lane 2 (i was in lane 3). Just as I was about level with the truck, the truck moved into lane 2, straight into the rear quarter of the car in lane 2... cue a lot of smoke from brakes and glass everywhere The car in lane 2 just flipped sideways against the front of the truck and was dragged on until the truck stopped. The lady in the car got out shaken and stirred but unhurt fortunately.

Never fails to amaze me, the number of RTAs (sorry RTC's now ) we go out to where the cars are completely destroyed and the occupants walk out with scratches and bruises....

It's a testament to modern vehicle design IMO. I can't remember the last time I heard of anybody inside a car being seriously hurt in an accident. I've certainly never attended one. The only people who get badly injured nowadays are pedestrians, cyclists and bikers.

BTW, the reason they're now referred to as Road Traffic Collisions rather than Accidents is that by definition, an accident is nobody's fault, and all incidents involving cars are ultimately someone's fault.

I now understand your username Paul & it has nothing to do with Green Beret's
