Hi,
Still thinking about a remap for my 2.0DTI, but having sen Vectra 120's caterman box I wondered if there is one appropriate for my engine.
Hi,

not in caterman style..
you'll need a VP44 style box which would cost around the same as a remap ( circa £400)
iirc these boxes give good results on the 2.0 with a power hike to 130 bhp
£400 quid, that sucks! Boo Hoo.
Regarding remaps then, what about the DIY approach via OMBII. Looking for general opinions - has anyone done it on this engine?
forget 'driveway' remaps...you need a proven one....
paying the dosh hurts, but less than the cost of possible damage to the fuelpump/ecu and other components...that could run into £1000's...
whats a better idea vp44 (whatever that is!) or a remap? if they're similar costs
the better option is always a remap...much kinder to the engine than a tuning box
vp44 is the model of the fuelpump..
Ohh!! I see! Where would I need to go for a remap?
anywhere that do EDS software.. like REGAL's or the like..
