Thumbs up Few questions from a new guy..

Im very close to buying the Vectra C 07 SRi 2.0 Turbo Estate... I know it has the Z20NET engine so....

    Sorry about this...

    1. Dump valve - I know it wont give me any BHP but i have wanted that sound for sooooooooooooooooooooo long i just gotta get one!! Best one/place to get it?

    2. Read on lmf vauxhallwebsite that you get a stage one remap to take it to 320bhp iirc, is this worth the £558? I know the bhp increase is significant, does it really justify the money?

    3. Its on the 19" snowflakes.. lowering it by how much but not to sacrifice a level of comfort still?

    4. I would love half leather seats, are they the same in all i.e hatch/saloon/estate? will they iterchange? being an 07 as far as i can work out the C was facelifted in 06.. so do i need 06 onwards seats or will and C interior fit?

Soryy for all that but im sure you felas will give me some ides, thanks

    1. Forge seems to be the popular one with people on the 2.0T. As you say, doesn't increase bhp, but enhances the sound and 'may' allow the turbo to spin up slightly faster.

    2. It's not 320bhp! Wish it was! lol You're obviously referring to the BSR remap. Stage 1 one will take you to around 210bhp, Stage 3 (what I have) around 240. Yes it's worth it - even the Stage 1, which I had for a couple of years before getting Stage 3 once it was available. Just do a search for 'BSR' on the forum, it'll bring up looooads of threads lol and you'll see other guys feedback on it, and maybe just the odd post by me!

    3) Personal preference really, but I don't think you'll want to go lower than 30mm.

    4) Yes, front seats are interchangeable between hatch/estate/saloon - it's just the rears that differ. As for pre-facelift to facelift seats, I'm pretty sure things changed on the facelift seats but I'm not 100% sure.

    Welcome to the site!

Firstly, Dump valve. I think it's Forge that those who have them have bought. Take a look in the Petrol tuning section, that'll give you all the answers you need for that.

Second, No remap will take the Z20 to 320bhp! I reckon you mean 230. Is it worth it? Of course it is! It's more! BSR are the kiddies, superb support and back up, the added bonus of being able to upload and remove the map is another thing.

Third, I'd suggest running as it is for a while. The Snowflakes do give a pretty harsh ride, as I've found out, almost wishing I'd just got a set of 18's instead. Until I look at them that is!

Lastly, the half leather was only fitted to GSi Vectras. They never made an estate version, so the only real answer would be a retrim. Classic car services at Leicester will be able to help.

    Enjoy!

The seats on the facelift SRi seem to be slightly softer than the pre facelift I had (may be my imagination) but
apart from that the material and design of the seats remains the same.

If you're after half leather then you're either gonna have to go for seats from a VXR estate or a Design estate(and
loose the sports seats). The Signum design/Vectra GSi had the half leather sports seats but the rear seats won't
    fit in the estate.

I've stuck with the normal Vx one, just did the airbox mod to it. I know some guys have tried induction on the 2.0T and thought it worse. I'm positive BSR used to sell their own induction kit - which obviously they wouldn't if it was detrimental. They currently list a high performance panel filter, which may be the one to go with. Not theirs necessarily, but that type of filter.

I keep meaning to get one for mine and never got round to it.

I do think the 2.0T likes free flowing

I have a K&N panel filter and have de-restricted the Air Box. The 2.0T certainly benefits from both.
