    Default cruise control

    hi all, been down london for the day, used the c.c on the way down no problem.was fine on the journey home until i stopped for fuel. gets upto speed and the c.c wpuld not turn on.
    any ideas!!!!

    Have you checked the spring behind the clutch sometimes get stuck as this will stop cc from working?

    I've done this also and it may be what you did.

    I think you have to press the break pedal to activate the system when you start up and drive off. If you just move off onto a motorway you may not have to press the break.

    Just a thought.

    Yep, you do have to press the brake to activate it.

    If you started up & pulled away without doing so it definitely will not work.

    After you touch the brake at any time it should then work again.

    hi guys , yes that does make sense , i did pull away to re join the m.w,
    did nit touch the brake for miles ,did`nt try again after that.

    Often catches me out too, just a quick tap on th epedal and all is fine.

    could be a switch on the clutch pedal or the brake pedal
