interior rear light & estates

Has anyone done one of these upgrades in an estate?

Anyone know how to tell if I have the wiring, without pulling out the roof lining. Was the wiring fitted up to a certain point / model. My 05 SRi doesn't have many of the "toys" so would the rear wiring have been discontinued as part of the cost cutting measures?
