    Default Uninstalling Norton Anti Virus

Well I've had enough of Norton slowing my machine down, so i'm getting rid and changing over to AVG, but i've heard terrible stories about uninstalling norton cos it imbeds itself so deep in your machine, any help would be much appreciated

I've been using McAfee for the past 2/3 years.

No matter what I throw at the PC mcafee stomps it out.
Just human error that breaks it, (accepting things on msn that people shouldn't)

PS: Get your self Spybot Search & Destroy aswell works wonders for speeding up your PC, and gets rid of pesky popups.

You have to download an uninstall utility to get shut of norton. After you have done that still run system configuration utility and stop any symantic stuff (progs & processes) from running at startup.

Norton is a terrible blight on any half decent computer.
A certain mainstream nationwide computer shop, seems to have a long running deal with Norton,as it seems to come pre-installed on alot of their machines,I know that because i've had to completely format pc's for those people who insist on buying them there

Get Norton of your system, todo it properly you'll have to format your hard drive, better still, buy your self a new hard drive, install windows on that one,and use your previous drive as storage, that way you wont have to risk loosing any of your stuff.
Only use AVG, it's free and thorough. And is very kind to your operating system.
If you need any further help PM me by all means....
